Spring fever brings a desire to get out and about. We say to channel that feeling and to #dogoodthings in South Walton County this March by giving back through these local charities.

Dine Out for the Boys & Girls of the Emerald Coast

The 2018 Annual Dinner for the Boys & Girls Club of the Emerald Coast recognizes those integral to the organization’s impact and takes place on March 1, 2018 at the Emerald Grande Ballroom Haborwalk Village. Spring for a Thoughtful Dinner

On March 1, the second Thoughtful Dinner as part of Food for Thought will take place at 7:00 p.m. in the Emeril Lagasse Foundation Full Circle Kitchen on 132 Market Street. The five-course dinner with wine pairings will be prepared by Nikhil Abuvala of Roux 30a.  Tickets are available per-person or for tables of four.

Take a Gamble on Helping Women & Families

On Friday, March 2, it’s an evening of Casino Royale benefiting Opportunity Place from 7-10 p.m. at ZT Motors in Fort Walton Beach Tickets are $35 per-person. Try your hand for generous winnings. Support the Whole Life Fitness & American Foundation of Suicide Prevention Partnership

Whole Life Fitness (WLF) and the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention, Florida Panhandle Chapter are working to communicate the positive effects fitness and friendship have on the mind, body, and overall community. Register to join the Santa Rosa Beach co-ed kickball league now on the WLF website. The season runs March 7 through May 9.

Gala & Golf in Advocacy for Children

Show your support for the Children’s Advocacy Center March 9 through March 11. The Golf & Gala Weekend starts at 5:30 p.m. on March 9 with a celebration evening at the Hilton Sandestin. The golf tournament takes place on March 11 at Kelly Plantation. Brunch starts at 11:30 a.m. Look forward to oysters on the course. Get more information and register by clicking this link.

Brunch Thoughtfully in March

On March 11, the first Thoughtful Brunch as part of the Food for Thought Thoughtful Dinner series will be hosted in the Emeril Lagasse Foundation Full Circle Kitchen on 132 Market Street. Play a Round of Golf for Children

On Saturday, March 24, 2018, the Boys & Girls Club of the Emerald Coast Golf Tournament, A Round for the Kids, starts at 9:00 a.m. at the Emerald Bay Golf Club in Destin. Support the Pensacola Boys & Girls Club March Madnezz Style

The annual March Madnezz fundraiser that supports the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast – Pensacola Clubs takes place on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at O’Riley’s Irish Pub in Pensacola. Watch the NCAA Men’s Basketball Regional Finals, enjoy food and drinks as well as a silent auction.

Purposefully Support Shelter House

The Shelter House’s signature event, Purses with a Purpose is March 23 to March 24 at 495 Grand Boulevard on Grand Boulevard in Sandestin. The organization supports victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Visit the website and contact the organization to learn more.
